It is an honor for me to welcome the hosts, participants and guests of International Railway Show 1520 “PRO//Motion.EXPO”.
This show where Russia’s newest rolling stock comes on display is now a good tradition that has been around for more than half a century. It brings together railway equipment manufacturers, scientists, transportation experts, business people, as well as managers and specialists from organizations related to the railway industry. This sharing of professional experience helps to promote innovative projects and initiatives and to boost Russia’s technological and economic sovereignty. For Transmashholding, as a technology leader, the participation in the Railway Show is of great practical importance.
Saint Petersburg, the host city, is central to the history of railways in Russia. It is where the country’s first railroad was constructed and where the concept of building an extensive national rail network finally took shape. Cooperation between TMH and Saint Petersburg Government goes back many years. Saint Petersburg Metro is now using the newest trains produced by TMH factories and designed by TMH engineering companies while Aurora fast train helps Moscow and Saint Petersburg, the country’s two biggest cities, to stay connected. We are working together to create new technologies and rolling stock to keep passenger and freight transportation reliable and safe.
I am confident that in 2025 International Railway Show 1520 “PRO//Motion.EXPO” will be a top-quality event providing further momentum to technological progress and establishment of new professional contacts.
