According to the information and analytical agency ROLLINGSTOCK Agency (RSA), Russian railway engineering enterprises delivered rolling stock worth over 880 billion rubles in 2024.Всего было выпущено:
- almost 800 electric train cars,
- more than 840 locomotive-hauled passenger cars,
- almost 340 mainline electric locomotives,
- more than 280 mainline diesel locomotive sections,
- more than 290 shunting diesel locomotives,
- almost 75 thousand freight cars.
Also, more than 470 trams and 600 metro cars were produced at Russian enterprises.
The scale and importance of the industry for the Russian economy is clearly shown by the infographic map prepared by RSA for the international railway exhibition "PRO//Motion.EXPO", which will be held on August 28-31 in St. Petersburg. It presents more than 45 enterprises engaged in the production of various types of rolling stock throughout the country.
The map also contains visual data:
- dynamics of production of locomotives, passenger rolling stock and urban rail transport for 2020-2024 by enterprises,
- ranking of freight car manufacturers by total output in 2024, as well as an integrated rating of car builders from RSA and their specialization by type of car,
- top 5 wagon repair companies by the number of scheduled repairs in 2024 according to RSA,
- list of enterprises with their official websites.
The printed map of the Russian railway engineering industry from RSA will be exclusive to the PRO//Motion.EXPO salon and will be distributed only within its framework on business days. RSA will include it in the almanac "Rolling Stock Markets. Railway Transport", freely distributed from the agency's stands.
